At RENTCAR, every rental includes Standard insurance at no extra cost. For greater peace of mind, we offer two upgrade options. Choose the plan that suits your needs.
Standard Insurance — Included Free
Every rental comes with our Standard insurance package at no additional charge.
Coverage includes:
- Collision damage (with deductible)
- Theft protection
- Third-party liability
- Mandatory state insurance (ICBARI)
Conditions:
- Security deposit: 300 AZN
- Client deductible (your maximum liability): 1,000 AZN
Note: Standard insurance does not cover damage to glass, tires, underbody, roof, or damage caused by natural disasters and vandalism.
Extended Insurance — 25 AZN / day
Extended insurance significantly reduces your financial risk and adds protection for parts not covered by the Standard plan.
Coverage includes everything in Standard, plus:
- Windshield and glass damage
- Tire and wheel damage
- Underbody and roof damage
- Natural disaster damage (flood, hail, earthquake)
- Vandalism protection
Conditions:
- Security deposit: 250 AZN (reduced)
- Client deductible: 500 AZN (reduced)
All-Risk Zero Insurance — 33 AZN / day
The highest level of protection. Drive with complete peace of mind — zero deposit, zero deductible.
Coverage includes everything in Extended, plus:
- Zero client deductible — you pay nothing in case of damage
- Zero security deposit — no money blocked on your card
- Full comprehensive coverage for all risks
Conditions:
- Security deposit: 0 AZN
- Client deductible: 0 AZN

What Insurance Does NOT Cover
Regardless of the plan selected, insurance does not cover:
- Damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Damage resulting from violation of rental agreement terms
- Intentional or reckless damage to the vehicle
- Loss of personal belongings inside the vehicle
- Driving by unauthorized persons not listed in the rental agreement
- Use of the vehicle outside of Azerbaijan without prior approval
Our Recommendation
For most renters, we recommend the All-Risk Zero plan. For just 33 AZN per day, you eliminate all financial risk — no deposit, no deductible, and complete coverage. It's the best choice for worry-free driving in Baku and across Azerbaijan.
