General Rental Conditions
By renting a vehicle from RENTCAR, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
Driver Requirements
- Minimum age: 24 years old
- Maximum age: 65 years old
- Driving experience: Minimum 2 years with a valid driving license
- Required documents: Valid passport and driving license (international driving permit recommended for foreign nationals)
Rental Period
- The minimum rental period is 2 days (48 hours).
- A rental day is defined as a 24-hour period starting from the time of pickup.
- Returning the vehicle after the scheduled time (even by one hour) constitutes an additional rental day.
- For rentals to remote areas (Quba, Qabala, Ganja, etc.), the minimum rental period is 3 days.
Security Deposit
A security deposit is required at the time of vehicle pickup. The deposit amount depends on the selected insurance plan:
- Standard Insurance: 300 AZN deposit
- Extended Insurance: 250 AZN deposit
- All-Risk Zero Insurance: No deposit required
The deposit is fully refundable upon return of the vehicle in its original condition, subject to inspection.
Fuel Policy
All vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel. The renter must return the vehicle with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the difference will be charged at a premium rate plus a refueling service fee.
Delivery & Pickup
- Office hours delivery (09:00–20:00): Free within Baku city center
- After-hours delivery (20:00–09:00): Additional charges apply
- Airport delivery (GYD): Available with a delivery fee
- Regional delivery: Available to Sumgait, Quba, Qabala, Ganja and other cities with applicable fees
Prohibited Use
The rented vehicle may not be:
- Driven outside the Republic of Azerbaijan without prior written consent
- Used for racing, towing, or off-road driving
- Operated under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Driven by anyone other than the authorized driver(s) listed in the rental agreement
- Used for commercial passenger transport (taxi services)
Traffic Violations & Fines
The renter is fully responsible for all traffic violations and fines incurred during the rental period. Any fines not paid at the time of vehicle return will be charged to the renter's deposit or payment method on file.
Damage & Accidents
In case of an accident or damage, the renter must:
- Contact RENTCAR immediately
- Contact the traffic police if required by law
- Not leave the scene of the accident
- Obtain a police report
- Not authorize any repairs without RENTCAR's approval
The renter's financial liability depends on the selected insurance plan.
Cancellation Policy
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time
- Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to one day's rental
- No-show bookings are non-refundable
Amendments
RENTCAR reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The applicable terms are those in effect at the time of booking confirmation.
